Quick Answer
A staircase in a bright, modern North Potomac home was originally stained dark to hide construction damage. The owners wanted it to match new light white-oak floors upstairs.
The Problem
Painted risers, glue residue on treads, and hand-rail scratches meant a simple recoat wouldn't work — everything needed to be stripped and refinished on-site without disrupting stair access for more than one day.
Our Solution
We sanded treads and railings to bare wood, primed and painted risers Simply White, and applied three coats of Loba 2K Supra AT in matte for maximum abrasion resistance on the treads and handrail.
