The Problem
A patch would have been obvious against 15 years of ambered finish and slightly wider historical mill tolerances. Matching the sheen, color, and board pattern was the only acceptable result.
Our Solution
We staggered new white-oak boards in a stair-step weave, blending each row into three existing courses so no seam falls on a single line. After sanding the repair zone and a 4-foot feather, we custom-mixed stain to the aged tone and finished the entire kitchen.
