Quick Answer
A formal entry in McLean needed a statement floor to anchor a two-story rotunda. The homeowner wanted a 3D cube parquet pattern with a dark contrasting border.
The Problem
3D cube parquet requires three perfectly cut lozenges per unit with no visible gaps, and the walnut inlay border had to miter perfectly around a circular room.
Our Solution
We CNC-cut the walnut border in 12 curved segments, dry-fit the entire pattern before glue-down, and hand-assembled the cube field on-site. Finished in Rubio Monocoat for a natural, matte look that lets the geometry lead.

Results
A one-of-a-kind entry floor that reads as sculpture. The Rubio finish is spot-repairable, so the homeowner never has to refinish the whole pattern.
